Considering the other cars on this list, this seems like a rather elaborate take down of the new Mirage, which by all accounts isn't great, but it certainly isn't Top 10 All Time Worst. I mean, where is the smart fortwo or the Fuego?

This article on a whole confirms my belief that whoever writes for Yahoo Autos doesn't actually know anything about cars.

I used to like Mitsubishi, made the Lancer and a cooler looking SUV. The Mirage isn't even that bad of a car, it rides on lawn mower tires but still not bad. The thing that pisses me off here is the Mitsubishi dealership in this cities radio commercial. "If it doesn't say Lethbridge Mitsubishi on the back you paid too much" in the deep, asshole-ish voice of anything they try to sell as a mans man thing. Maybe people just wanted a car made by an automaker that will be around in 10 years, or they want more than literally 15 cars to choose from. I know its not the manufactures fault but it just chaps me to the core. End Rant.

Except the Mirage is a pile of shit and whoever picks the Mirage over the Fiesta shouldn't even have a license. Or a bank account. Or any responsibility and should be in a crazy house because they are certifiably fucking crazy.

I LOATHE the seating position in the Fiesta, though. It's just an uncomfortable car. Cool, yes. Well built, indeed. But dang it, Ford. Not everything needs to have the seating position of an Exploder.

Oh, plus the overly stylized button layout for the radio and other dashboard toys makes me want to ragequit car as well. Fire your usability people, please. All of them. Clean house. Bring me buttons I can fist-bump without looking at 'em.

The ST's seats they got right, though. I can't believe they can't replicate that lower seating position with their lighter, non-Recaro seats. Every other Ford I've sat in has been "No, I don't want to rip out the seats on a new car unless we're going straight to B-Spec with it. NEXT!"

Judging by the fact that they almost included an Isetta on this list, this pea-brained listicle don't know nothin'. Also, I need a Trabant for LeMons. And the Edsel, too? Yeah, it was a flop, but it was a cool flop.

Calling the Mirage bad for being a small car not built for comfort is a little myopic. Families with kids = not their target market. Cheapo kids and twentysomethings = more like it. And picking this over, say, cars that have major defects a la the faulty ignition Chevys, sticky-pedal Toyotas or even the "so, Porsche quality? uh, ignore this small IMS issue, please" Boxster seems a little cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

Reminds me of the "Dream Cars Austin" ads. Those are SO grating that I would never buy a car there. Even if it was a red 911SC hardtop sans sunroof in my price range. (Eh. Okay, I might have to choke back the barf for that one, but still—I'd have to think on it, and that's saying something about how AWFUL those commercials are.)

No modern car belongs in a top 10 worst cars of all time list. You can't really buy a "bad" car these days. Just one that's not as good as others.
